* We provide encouragement, emotional support and enthusiasm for the work your son or daughter is doing as a musician.
*We offer
financial support to purchase additional equipment that band students
need but is not allotted for in school funding of this program.(Remember
that music education is at the top of the list of programs schools cut
when setting their budgets each year)
*We strive
long term to raise funds for a new uniform so your child isn't
embarrassed when we appear before other better funded schools for
competitions...a big task, but it's not in the schools budget, so it's
up to us.
*We strive long term to establish scholarships for budding music majors in their senior year.
*We
show up on Saturdays in the fall to help move equipment on/off the
truck during competitions, and on/off the field for home games.
*We
make repairs to and press the uniform prior to the season. We sew the
split in the glove of rthe ripped seam no one noticed until minutes
before the performances.
*We
walk with them during parades to provide any assistance or necessary
first aid care should something happen along the route.
*We remind them to drink plenty of fluids so they remain hydrated during competitions and parades.
*We hold their instrument when they need to adjust their hat or uniform.
*We make sure they have cold drinks and snacks on the field during home games.
*For competitions, we provide a meal for each student so they have something to eat while away from home.
*We are there when you can not be.
