this fundraiser, you will have the opportunity to purchase quality
Tupperware brand products backed by a full lifetime warranty while
helping the McCluer North Stars band raise money. There are two ways to

This will take you directly to the on line ordering. Here you can place an order, pay, and it will be directly shipped to you within a few days. No waiting for orders to be turned in and placed. You get your product quickly!Just click on their link in the grey area that says Shop This Fundraiser
2. Brochures will be available to those students wishing to have them. These must be turned in no later than Feb 23rd. Payment accepted is cash or check and checks should be made payable to Mary Anterhaus NOT the band boosters. This is a little different than normal.Please remember tax must also be added to the total on all brochure orders. Please pay careful attention when giving people their totals.
This is a fundraiser we don't normal do so please pass along the information via email, social media and more. The district has really cut the budget to the fine arts programs in our schools, so we are trying to step up a bit, finding ways to help raise funds so that our kids are able to continue attending competitions, have music to play and one of our big goals is to help replace pieces of our marching uniforms as they have seen much wear and tear.

Tips for recruiting patrons!
Not sure what to say?
If you are not certain how to ask individuals or businesses to become patrons, think about saying something like this:
“My marching band at McCluer North High School is working on a great new show for
competition this fall. We are really in need of patrons and would love to have your support. For
a donation of $20 or more, you can become a McCluer North Marching Stars patron, and we will print your name on the back of our marching band shirt. A donation is tax-deductible, and will really help us a lot. For a donation of $50, we will print your name on our shirt, and also print your name or business card in all our concert programs. For a donation of $100, we will print your name on our shirt, in our programs, and on a sign on our truck in all our parades.”If they make a donation, be sure to give them a receipt and be sure they clearly print their name as they wish it to appear on the shirt.Be sure to tell the person, “thank you,” whether or not they choose to donate! Contacting out-of-town relatives by email? Type this message into the email: “My marching band at McCluer North High School is working on a great new show for competition this fall. “We prefer cash donations from individuals, but if you want, you can send a check in the mail made out to my parents. They will cash the check and I will then have a cash donation to turn in by July 16. If you choose to make a donation, please email me back the way you would like your name to appear on our shirt. Thank you! ”

Don’t forget the band car wash on Saturday, June 30th, from
11 AM-3 PM at Advance Auto Parts and Diary Queen on the corner of Lindbergh and
Trotter Way,
across from Handyman Hardware! Your student will have received a reminder about
it in class. They should wear a previous show tee shirt or a McCluer North tee
shirt if they have one, also a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. The school dress
code applies to this carwash! Students working the whole day will get a lunch
break, and should bring money to buy lunch nearby: Subway, DQ, or #1 China.
Many thanks to the parents who have signed up to work. When you arrive, please plan to park in the
Surrey Plaza II lot out closer to the street, so that we won’t take up spaces
for Advance Auto Parts or Dairy Queen customers. The car wash will be held on
the Trotter Way
side of the building for both Advance Auto Parts, and DQ.
We have buckets, hoses, nozzles, a few sponges, several
large bags of cloth towels, a step ladder, soap, paper towels and signs. Extra
drying towels are always appreciated, so if you have some old ones at home that
you would like to donate, we would appreciate it! We could also use a
wheel brush, a soft brush, or an extension brush for the tops of higher
vehicles. If you have any similar sorts of brushes, please feel free to bring
them, you may take them back with you at the end of the day. If you haven’t
signed up to work, but can give an hour or two, please come! We need adult
supervision for every aspect of the operation!
Student safety will be paramount! Students need to sign in
and sign out. They will not be allowed to wander around in stores. Only those
who need to buy lunch will be dismissed for that purpose, and students will not
be allowed to cross Lindbergh to get lunch. Non-band friends can come to work,
but should not come to distract or harass the band members. We will have iced
water and soda available so that the students stay hydrated.
I have attached a flier that you can share with friends and
relatives, or post at your work place. Be sure to tell everyone with a car
about our car wash! If you can’t work, please come by to get your car washed.
Advance Auto Parts and Dairy Queen have been most gracious
to us in allowing us space and water for the wash. If you are able, please tell them thank you
and support them by purchasing your auto parts there or a treat from DQ.

We we also be doing our annual concessions tent on the school grounds right before the fireworks on the 4th of July! The kids had a lot of fun with this one last year and were an AMAZING help. We will have water, soda, cotton candy, chips, glowsticks and maybe even more to sell. Once again, this is a rather large event so any help will be greatly appreciated. This event we usually start at 6pm and breakdown at dusk, just in time to enjoy the fireworks with our own families. A big thank you to Stacy Brewer who will be chairing this event.
